In working with oil and wax on board, I aim to mirror the atmospheric qualities of the high country. The wax allows light to settle gently within the layers, creating a subtle translucence that echoes the thin, cool air of elevation. Through building, scraping, and softly veiling pigment, each surface holds traces of movement and quietness, much like the landscape itself — shaped gradually by wind, temperature, and time.
 
The foxgloves, though introduced to this environment, highlight a tension I find compelling: the meeting of fragility and resilience, of colour held within a landscape defined by exposure.
